Poll: Most Americans Wish Obama Were Still President—You Won’t Believe How Many Are TRUMP VOTERS!

Americans are so weary of Donald Trump that most of us wish Obama were still leading the country instead of Trump.

According to a Public Policy Polling (PPP) survey released Thursday, 52% of respondents said they wished Obama was still leading the US, compared to 41% who said they preferred Trump.

Most of the voters who long for Obama supported Democrat Hillary Clinton in the 2016 election, but they’re not the only ones: fully 7% of Trump voters—and 14% of self-identified Republicans—also chose Obama over Trump.

Worse, 54% of people say Trump is dishonest, 47% said he’s mentally unstable, and 48% said he should be impeached.

In addition, Trump’s approval ratings have hit a new low—about 39%, according to FiveThirtyEight.

PPP’s president, Den Debnam, stated:

We’re really not seeing any path to Donald Trump achieving a positive approval rating. Voters are unhappy with him about a lot of ongoing issues, and new ones seem to creep up in our polling every month as well.

What has most voters yearning for Obama, apparently, is Obama’s stance on healthcare. Only 23% of Americans support the latest attempt to repeal signature healthcare legislation, the Affordable Care Act (ACA). More than 50% disapprove of the attempts.

In fact, only 32% of Americans want to repeal the ACA at all, despite Republicans’ years of promises to do exactly that. More than 60% of Americans want to keep the ACA in place and make changes where necessary.

What do you think?
