College Professor Calls Trump ‘The Dumbest Goddam Student’ He Ever Taught, And That’s Only the Tip of the Iceberg

Before Trump entered the White House, he made everyone think that he was at the top of the class at the Wharton School of Business at the University of Pennsylvania.  A report later revealed that he failed even to make the dean’s list. NBC News recently ruffled Trump’s feathers with its Rex Tillerson “moron” report.

Trump couldn’t stand the fact that Tillerson called him a moron.  Soon after, in an interview with Forbes, Trump challenged Tillerson to IQ showdown, claiming that he would win.

One of Wharton’s most celebrated professors, the late William T. Kelley, taught at the university for 31 years, including the years Trump attended.  A close friend of Kelley’s, Frank DiPrima, reflected on conversations he had with Kelley about Trump.

DiPrima wrote: “Professor Kelley told me 100 times over three decades that ‘Donald Trump was the dumbest goddam student I ever had.’  I remember his emphasis and inflection — it went like this — ‘Donald Trump was the dumbest goddam student I ever had.’  Dr. Kelley told me this after Trump had become a celebrity but long before he was considered a political figure.  Dr. Kelley often referred to Trump’s arrogance when he told of this — that Trump came to Wharton thinking he already knew everything.”

A separate article published by the Daily Pennsylvanian revealed:

Another biographer, Gwenda Blair, wrote in 2001 that Trump was admitted to Wharton on a special favor from a ‘friendly’ admissions officer. The officer had known Trump’s older brother, Freddy.

Trump’s classmates doubt that the real estate mogul was an academic powerhouse. ‘He was not in any kind of leadership. I certainly doubt he was the smartest guy in the class,’ said Steve Perelman, a 1968 Wharton classmate and a former Daily Pennsylvanian news editor.
