With all that’s going on in America, you’d think that the government would be doing everything in their power to help this country heal. However, even after the deadliest mass shooting that our nation has ever seen, Congress is proving they are just as useless as Republicans.
Their feeble attempt to make themselves look heroic after the Las Vegas tragedy was to ban “bump stocks”, which enables semi-automatic rifles to shoot 400 to 800 rounds per minute.
Chairman of the House Second Amendment Caucus, Rep. Thomas Massie (R-KY), has revealed that the bump stock ban will actually not be put in place after all. This is why:
“It’s the height of irony if we don’t repeal Obamacare, we don’t cut taxes, but we do implement more gun control. That’s a perversion of the GOP agenda, and I think my colleagues recognize that, which is why they’re hoping the ATF will do it.”
The Republican Party is, once again, showing their true colors and having someone else handle their responsibilities. This time they are hoping the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, and Firearms deals with it.
What happened in Nevada was everyone’s worst nightmare, and one would think, being citizens of this country themselves, that the GOP would want to get on gun reform ASAP before another loser takes advantage of their negligence.
What do you think?
