Throughout Trump’s presidency, Pope Francis has taken shots at Donald to remind him just how foul of a human being he is to the core. The two men couldn’t be more opposite; Trump craves to drive people apart, while Pope Francis wishes to bring people together.
Pope Francis recently penned a tweet that ridiculed Trump for his ridiculous war on the “fake news” media. Trump convinced his followers that any word against him is fake by repeatedly drilling the thought into their heads through his words and the use of his lackeys, e.g. Kellyanne Conway.
Pope Francis wrote:
“I have chosen this theme for World Communications Day 2018: “The truth will set you free” (Jn 8:32). Fake news and journalism for peace.”

He referenced Bible verse John 8:32 of the New Testament, which states: “Then you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.”
The Vatican’s Secretariat of Communication said in a statement:
“The Church would like to make its contribution by proposing a reflection on the causes, logic and consequences of misinformation in the media and helping to promote professional journalism, always seeking the truth, and thus a journalism of peace that promotes understanding among people.”
